wie is cooler as ekke?

so last night i was watching MK, and took a serious look and a serious listen to Jack Parrow's 'Cooler as ekke', which seems to be the 'hot track' at the moment. wherever you go, you see people asking each other, 'jy dink jy's cooler as ekke?', and this has started some sort of sub-culture in the music scene. as fun as the song is which im not going to deny, because my mates and i have asked ourselves who is the cooler one, and used references from this current pop classic, can we take this dude seriously as a musician?

i mean, if this is his introductory track to the music industry, what else can we expect from this dude? what will a full LP have to offer us? more ridiculous comparisons involving food stuffs, drinks, market places? weather forecasts and current trends? will there be any life lessons, world/cultural views explored? love? relationships? things that occur in our everyday lives? will he tackle any of these issues? dont get me wrong, not everything has to be serious, but i really cant take this guy seriously anyways. i guess the fact that he is from bellville/parow has cemented his place in the music industry, as it appears that if you drive a car with CY on it, you are guaranteed to be successful, no matter how little talent you actually have. then you get folks from cape town, stellenbosch, all over south africa who actually do have some talent, but arent getting the full exposure they deserve because tools like this are taking the limelight for themselves. it would be interesting to see how far this cat actually goes. interesting, and somewhat scary.

however, i will say that the song does have a nice beat.
